AI Research Engineer
Dakota Systems (Chicago, IL) seeks an AI Research Engineer to work closely with our internal project and technology teams to define and develop content management system initiatives related to our Dakota Content Platform (DCP).
As a Research Engineer, you will be responsible for building AI content generation systems fine-tuned for conversational AI applications and automatic generation of technical documentation in DITA structure. We're looking for people with solid engineering skills (for example designing, implementing, and improving a large-scale distributed machine learning system), writing bug-free machine learning code, and building the science behind the algorithms employed.

Have strong programming skills

A willingness to dive into and debug issues at any layer of the tech stack, from the application layer to the network

In-depth knowledge of at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Must be familiar with the OpenAI GPT-3 API, or equivalent Large Language Model (LLM) Generative AI.

Experice with ML Stack: GPT-3, BERT, PyTorch, AllenNLP, Spacy, AWS Textract

Have experience working in large distributed systems

Senior Systems Analyst
Dakota Systems (Chicago, IL) seeks a Senior Systems Analyst to work closely with our internal project and technology teams to define and develop content management system initiatives related to our Dakota Content Platform (DCP). Specific duties include: perform management duties; lead system development directions; provide trainings and provide training and supervision to contracts and interns; develop the architecture of the software solutions, reuse objects, and develop applications; design and build system architectures and extend existing system functionality; develop and deploy DCP (Dakota Content Platform), an XML component content management system, using XML, XSLT, XQuery, eXist-db, and oXygen XML Editor; analyze system requirements; establish and define Dakota Systems’ application development standards to ensure high quality, efficient and easy to maintain programs; provide maintenance and services for deployed systems, customizing and upgrading systems to accommodate new data and content in accordance with customer needs; and design and build company websites and deploy it on AWS and Ali Cloud (Chinese server) and improve the search engine ranking on Baidu and Sogou. Option to work remotely.
Position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or as a System Analyst, or similar position in system programming or analysis. Must have 2 years of experience working with CCMS and XML database development. Additionally, specific experience must include: creating XML stylesheets including XSLT and CSS; working with content publishing engines including RenderX, Apache FOP and Antenna House Formatter; creating company websites in Node.js and search engine optimization; working with Google Workplace application development, publishing and management; communicating with both technical and non-technical teams on issues, tasks and impacts; and working independently and as a team member in cross-group collaborative environment.
